Sujoy Prasad Chatterjee

Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee is an interdisciplinary artist, specializing in spoken words and theatre. He is the founder of SPCkraft, the city's only interdisciplinary arts collective.
He voices his expressions on gender, sexuality, social abuse and humanity through his arts. Apart from working in feature films, web films and on stage, he is the artistic director of PHREEDOM4 EVER MONOLOGUES, India's only solo arts festival. His solo play HAPPY BIRTHDAY had opened in a queer theatre in Toronto and is now a part of an international book on gender and arts.
Chatterjee was recently invited by Rabindra Bhavan, Viswabharati to perform in their premises, a rare honour for a South Asian artist.
Chatterjee has acted in multiple feature films directed by Srijit Mukherjee, Shiboprosad Mukherjee and Nandita Roy and many others. Sujoy played few very popular negative characters in TRINOYONI, a serial on Zee Bangla, NOKOL HEERE, a web series on HOICHOI and is now currently seen on STAR JALSHA in the serial TITLI. His work in feature films like BELA SHESHE , SHAH JAHAN REGENCY and BIDAY BYOMKESH (where he played the lead Negative Charachter) were highly appreciated by the critics and the mass.
After working on screen for long, Sujoy Prosad Chatterjee has now made his debut as a director for a SHORT FILM named HOME and as a producer for the short film by the legendary acting coach SOHAG SEN named SORROW OF LOVE.
It’s interesting to note that iconic filmmaker and poet Gulzar had praised Sujoy for his audio artistry in a presentation at the very prestigious National Library.
Sujoy , who has always been extremely appreciated for his collection of jewellery, has now designed and curated an exquisite brand of unisexual accessories, made of Ceramics and molten clay and is called the SUJOY PROSAD FASHION ACCESSORIES.
